Floodwater requires extra caution
Outside floodwater and sewer backups can contain biological and chemical hazards. Avoid direct contact and do not use household fans where contamination or mold may be present. Ask the restoration company how it classifies the water and protects occupants and workers.
Keep good records
Save photographs, estimates, authorizations, equipment logs, invoices and communications with both the provider and insurer.
